- The smallest species of parrot in the world, pocket parrots (aka parrotlets) live an average lifespan of 30 years. These very social (with humans or other parrotlets) birds will even learn to speak with a 10-15 word vocabulary and with practice can whistle tunes or melodies. They can also be taught simple trick commands such as "step-up", "kiss", and even over time, to "play dead". We currently have five birds available for sale. From the blue/blue parents, we have three males and one female. From a seperate blue/green pair we have one blue male and one vividly colored blue, green, and yellow male.
